This course will examine, in an evidence-based approach, the presentation, pathophysiology, evaluation and interventions for female and male bladder and bowel dysfunction, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

Genitourinary Pain Conditions: Assessment And Treatment Within An Evidenced Based Approach

October 15-16, 2022

This course will examine, in an evidence-based approach, the presentation, pathophysiology, and physical therapy evaluation and interventions for genital pain conditions through the lifespan, including, but not limited to, the most common cause for painful intercourse, vulvar vestibulodynia.

Pessary Fitting for Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Learn the science and the art of pessary fitting! This course covers the use of and instruction on how to assess for and fit pessaries for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. The different types of pessaries, how they work and what they remedy are included/covered.

Course will include theory, demonstration, and practical sessions including the use of EMG biofeedback to address urinary, fecal and sexual side effects of prostate cancer treatment within a physiotherapy scope of practice.
